Sturtevant Falls

(3.7 miles) - Located near Sierra Madre, this beginner trail features one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Angeles National Forest. Hike alongside a sparkling creek which leads you to some quaint cabins. This is great for little ones and beginners, but be aware that the last half a mile or so is uphill.

Land's End Trail

(3.4 miles RT) - This San Francisco area trail offers unrivaled views of the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Be sure to bring your binoculars, as this is a great place to bird watch.  Turn your gaze to the sea and you  are likely to spot dolphins, whales, sea lions, and even a shipwreck! San Francisco landmarks such as the Cliff House, Sutro Baths and the Palace of the Legion of Honor also add to the appeal.

Cataract Trail Loop

(7.7 miles RT) - This trail, located in Marin Co., provides varied terrain and the perfect excuse to enjoy nature. The waterfalls are the most breathtaking feature of this loop through the Mt. Tamalpais Watershed. Enjoy the shade of young redwood and Douglas Fir on a hot summer day.

The Mist Trail-Vernal and Nevada Falls

(7 miles RT) - Nestled in Yosemite National Park, The Mist Trail is THE trail to hit while in the park. As soon as you near either of the two waterfalls, you will know why this is called 'The Mist'. Spring and early summer are the best time to visit, as snow runoff is plentiful, making the waterfalls even more spectacular.

Berry Creek Falls Loop

(10.2 miles) - Located in California's oldest state park, Big Basin Redwoods State Park, this trail boasts not only impressive waterfalls, but also a climb through a lush, steep-sided canyon  with majestic old-growth redwoods. The trail covers over a thousand feet of elevation gain so you  will enjoy lots of ecological diversity along the way.

The Panorama Trail

(8.6 miles RT) - Another Yosemite National Park gem, this trail descends approximately 3,000 feet starting at Glacier Point and rewards you with some of the most iconic views of the park's famous landmarks- including Half Dome, Vernal Fall, Nevada Fall, Illilouette Fall, Yosemite Fall, and the entire Valley.

Pine Ridge Trail to Sykes Hot Springs

(10 miles) - Located in the Ventana Wilderness (part of Los Padres National Forest which extends through Big Sur and then out toward the Salinas Valley), this trail's proverbial jewel in the crown is the Sykes Hot Springs, two natural hot 'tubs' with soothing 100 degree waters. Each one can hold 4-6 people. On the way to the springs are several ridges, valleys, waterfalls, and a river crossing, which can be tricky.

 Skyline to the Sea Trail

(19 miles) - Not for the faint of heart, this route descends from the ridge of the Santa Cruz Mountains to the Pacific Ocean. Along the way, you will pass through Castle Rock State Park and Big Basin Redwoods State Park. Admire the majesty of the towering redwoods and the mountains stretching to the sea.
