Los Angeles Beach Neighborhoods

These neighborhoods are located along the Pacific Ocean, west of Los Angeles.

Malibu

With 27 miles of coastline, the main attraction in Malibu is its beach. However, many, if not most of the beaches here are private. Make sure to stop by the Malibu Lagoon State Beach (especially if you're a surfer), as well as the   beautiful Adamson House, nicknamed the "Taj Mahal of Tile."

Santa Monica

This progressive beachfront city is a mix of Hollywood executives, surfers, professionals, and students. The city offers up gorgeous views of the Pacific and the pristine beaches. You'll love the exciting range of shopping and dining experiences, too.

Venice Beach

This community is located between Santa Monica and Marina del Rey. It is most famous for the Venice Beach Boardwalk, Venice Skate Park, and     the legendary Muscle Beach. The area is a mix of skaters, performers, and artists from the funky to the fabulous. There's also an 8½ -mile bike path to enjoy. Take    a walk down Abbot Kinney Blvd. and see the famous Venice canals.

Marina del Rey

This affluent seaside community is centered around boating and water-related activities. Enjoy fishing trips, kayaking, sailboat and powerboat rentals, and different themed cruises during the week. Summertime also brings free concerts to the neighborhood. Bikers will enjoy the 22-mile bicycle trail traveling along the coast; it's a great way to enjoy the beautiful views.
