The Getty Center
This museum is something that must be seen to be believed. The building itself is an architectural wonder with modern design, open spaces, and breathtaking views of downtown L.A. Griffith Observatory

Yes, this park is home to the Griffith Observatory; but it deserves a separate mention. Griffith Park covers over 4,300 acres; many of which are rugged areas with trails for mountain biking and hiking. There are also picnic grounds, pony rides, and golf courses. Universal Studios Hollywood
A family favorite, this theme park is jam-packed full of shows, attractions, and rides, all of which are based on movie/TV themes. There's even a real working movie studio. Running the gamut from dinosaurs to Minions, there is something for everyone here. Make sure to plan a visit to CityWalk, a one-stop destination for entertainment, shopping, and dining.
Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County
This museum is the largest natural and historical museum in the western U.S. It houses a collection of nearly 35 million artifacts and specimens which span 4.5 billion years of history. The main building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is an attraction in and of itself.
Runyon Canyon Park
This often overlooked park just two blocks from Hollywood Boulevard offers fabulous views of the San Fernando Valley and the Pacific. There are several hiking trails ranging from easy to difficult. Keep your eyes open; because of the park's proximity to residential areas of Hollywood and Hollywood Hills, celebrities can often be spotted here. More than half of the park is designated as off-leash areas for dogs.
